About

I am Jen Youst, a stay-at-home, home educating mom in Northville, Michigan. Welcome to our journey! Starting off, there are two boys: an almost 4-year old (Quen) who says “butt” 100 times per day (and that’s low-balling it) and my husband (Chris) who still hasn’t learned to put the toilet seat down. And my little peanut, Sloane (or “Sis”), who’s going on two. She’s the reason for all warning labels on everything. Then there’s Kava, our 5-year old chocolate lab who’s perhaps the best dog EVER.
I write when I feel the world should understand what we go through on a daily basis … or more importantly, what all parents go through on a daily basis, especially those of us who home educate their kids! I hope to reach out to others who’ve been through similar situations (or plan to in the near future). It’s all about sharing with others and laughing at life, because sometimes you have to laugh in order to keep yourself from crying. Sometimes you do both. At the same time. Yes, I’m sane. I think.
So … thank you for visiting our family blog. I hope you will enjoy the personal experiences and information regarding a multitude of subjects — but mostly about being a modern yet old-fashioned stay-at-home, home-educating mom with two crazy kids, and a handful of a husband. Enjoy!
